Company Description

CleverProfits is a financial services firm that simplifies entrepreneurship. We help online businesses in the US build highly profitable and sustainable businesses. We offer growth-focused services to a variety of clients in different industries, including digital and social media marketing agencies, coaches and course creators, consultants, affiliate and network marketers, influencers and streamers, SaaS and E-commerce businesses. CleverProfits uses the latest cloud platforms to serve businesses remotely from anywhere in the world.

The Role

We're looking for an Operations Manager to own how CleverProfits runs day-to-day: the systems, handoffs between teams, and reporting that shows whether it's working. This is hands-on work. You'll be in the tools, with the departments, and in the room when we decide how something should work. You'll notice what's slow or breaking and fix it before anyone asks.

Who We're Looking For

  • You're already good at operations. You've owned processes, been the person teams turn to when something's stuck, and don't need someone checking your work. You're hungry for the next step up and ready for real ownership from day one.
  • You probably recognize yourself here:
  • You find manual, repetitive things and automate them without being asked
  • You'd rather build the system than keep answering the same question
  • You're comfortable with data and can say "here's what the numbers say, so here's what I think we should do"
  • You like being the connective tissue between teams
  • Messy, half-defined problems energize you instead of stalling you

What You'll Own

  • Operations and Quality: Quality-check and roll out daily systems and processes. Make day-to-day operational calls as the decision-maker, not an escalation route. Ensure work ships on time and to standard. Hunt for what's slow, manual, or fragile and fix it.
  • Reporting and Insight: Decide which numbers matter and track them. Build and automate live dashboards so people see performance without asking. Design clean data storage that stays accurate across systems. Turn it into short, useful reports leadership can act on.
  • Cross-Team Leadership: Lead projects across teams that improve the product and client experience. Spot recurring problems and prioritize which ones to fix. Link Operations and Leadership on ownership gaps. Work with teams on research, documentation, and R&D ranking. Keep teams aligned through launches.
  • Tools and Automation: Own how we choose, roll out, and adopt tools company-wide. Build internal tools with AI when buying doesn't make sense. Plan ahead six to twelve months. Automate manual work and reduce errors.
  • Back Office: Oversee office and facilities. Improve onboarding, retention, and promotion processes. Roll out improvements that make the company faster.

About Our AI-First Approach

  • CleverProfits doesn't just use AI tools on the side: we build our own internal software with them. The Operations team works in tools that used to belong to engineers. You'll use Claude daily (not just for writing, but to build tools, analyze data, and solve problems), plus GitHub, VS Code, Railway, Notion, Google Sheets, Looker Studio, and Asana.
  • We're not asking for a software engineer. You don't need a computer science background or to write code from scratch. What you need is genuine comfort working in these tools instead of waiting for someone technical. If you can describe what you want, work with Claude to build it, and get it in front of the team, you'll do well. If you've never used GitHub or a code editor but you'd happily spend a weekend learning, that curiosity matters more than existing experience.

Growth Path

You're hired as Operations Manager with Senior Operations Manager in view. That shift means leading multi-department initiatives, bringing automation and performance tracking as standard, setting company-wide AI usage standards, coaching other managers, and tying operations to company budgets and numbers.

What You Need

Must have:

  • 3+ years in operations, working closely with delivery teams and leadership
  • Experience leading people or contractors
  • Working SQL to pull and shape your own data
  • Comfort connecting tools through integrations and APIs
  • Real willingness to work with AI daily and get hands-on in GitHub, VS Code, and Railway
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to juggle priorities
  • Action bias: ship something good this week over something perfect next quarter
    Clear writing

Nice to have:

  • Depth in Looker, Looker Studio, Snowflake, Power BI, or similar
  • Automation tools: Zapier, Make, Google Apps Script
  • Hands-on time with Claude, GitHub, VS Code, or Railway (side projects count)
  • Project management tools: Asana, Jira, ClickUp
  • B2B software experience
  • Analytics background (engineering, business, finance)
  • Scrum Master or PMI certification

How We'll Know It's Working

In your first 90 days:

  • You understand how the business runs and spot what's broken
  • You own at least one operational area fully
  • You've shipped one real improvement (automated, simplified, or made visible)
  • You work comfortably in our AI stack, including new tools

Ongoing:

  • Operations get measurably more efficient (fewer manual steps, fewer errors, faster turnaround)
  • Key numbers are tracked, visible, and guide decisions
  • Teams work together more smoothly
  • Leadership makes better calls because of your reporting

Our Values

Five things matter to us, and we'll talk about all five in your review:

  • DIY Mentality: Proactively tackle challenges through self-initiated effort and resourcefulness.
  • Productive Communication: Convey information effectively and ensure collaboration.
  • Performance Accountability: Commitment to achieving goals and delivering results with excellence.
  • Grit: Unwavering perseverance in the face of challenges and setbacks.
  • Quirky: Embracing individuality and expressing unique traits and ideas.
