Job Description

The Facilities Technician provides dedicated onsite technical support for the inspection, monitoring and routine maintenance of critical facility equipment, including UPS systems, generators, HVAC systems and other building infrastructure. The role also supports general building maintenance and corrective works, responds to facility-related issues, performs assigned technical tasks, and promptly reports or escalates identified deficiencies to Facilities leadership.

• Conduct daily walkthroughs and inspections of the facility to identify maintenance requirements, equipment abnormalities, safety concerns and general building deficiencies.
• Promptly report all maintenance-related incidents, equipment faults and facility deficiencies to Facilities leadership.
• Perform routine general maintenance and minor repairs, including painting, basic plumbing, electrical and other building-related works within the scope of the position.
• Conduct routine checks of critical facility equipment and systems, including generators, UPS systems, HVAC equipment, pumps and associated building infrastructure, and report abnormal conditions.
• Support the execution of preventive maintenance schedules for critical plant and equipment, including landlord-owned equipment where applicable.
• Assist with coordinating scheduled maintenance activities as directed by Facilities leadership and ensure required service documentation is obtained and maintained.
• Accompany and provide onsite support to approved vendors and contractors during maintenance, repairs and other technical works.
• Monitor vendor activities onsite and report work status, deficiencies or outstanding items to Facilities leadership.
• Conduct routine inspections of fire and life-safety equipment, including fire extinguishers and fire detection systems, and promptly report any faults or concerns.
• Maintain accurate inspection logs, equipment readings, maintenance records, service reports and other facilities documentation.
• Provide required information and records to support monthly critical systems and facilities maintenance reporting.
• Respond promptly to facility-related incidents and assist with initial troubleshooting and corrective actions within the scope of the role.
• Assist with furniture, equipment and asset movement, installation and workspace setup as required.
• Maintain facilities tools, equipment, supplies and assigned maintenance areas in an organized and serviceable condition.
• Support emergency response, business-continuity and after-hours facilities activities when required.
• Perform other facilities-related technical duties as assigned by Facilities leadership.
