The Logistics Manager leads a small team to ensure the efficient execution of transportation, warehousing, and 3PL operations across NAM. The role is responsible for coordinating with 3PLs and carriers to deliver high service levels while ensuring cost efficiency, compliance, and operational reliability. It also drives KPI performance tracking, continuous process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize end-to-end supply chain performance.
***This role will be traveling 1 week a month to Chicago.
•Team Leadership & Execution: Lead and develop a team of 3 direct reports, setting clear priorities, managing daily operations, and ensuring consistent execution across logistics activities.
•Logistics Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day transportation, warehousing, and reverse logistics activities across NAM, ensuring timely movement of goods and efficient inbound/outbound flows.
•3PL & Carrier Coordination: Manage relationships with 3PLs, carriers, and vendors to ensure service levels, on-time performance, and operational reliability.
•KPI Tracking & Reporting: Monitor key logistics KPIs (on-time delivery, turnaround time, costs) and provide regular performance updates to the NAM Senior Manager.
•Operational Efficiency: Support and implement process improvements across transportation, warehousing, and returns to enhance efficiency and control costs.
•Compliance & Cross-Functional Support: Ensure adherence to safety, regulatory, and environmental standards, while collaborating with planning, procurement, and quality teams to resolve operational issues.
•Analytical, leadership, self-starter, ability to work independently and ability to influence others.
•Both strategic (having a network view) and tactical (day to day execution) in approach.
•Expertise in transportation sourcing, procurement, and contract management.
•Experience managing third party transportation providers.
•Collaborative, mature, and motivating leadership with a natural drive for results within a complex supply chain model.
•Analytical and strategic planning skills. Ability to work in a fast paced, innovative operating environment. Ability to simplify complexity. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Computer proficiency with all Microsoft applications.
•An analytical and strategic approach to planning and problem solving using a variety of applications/software
•3 - 7 years experience in a logistic role that employs the use of 3PL warehouses
•Strong influential and interpersonal skills, a key focus on patience and meeting the expectation of multiple stakeholders every day
•Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
•Must be highly computer literate with advanced skills in Microsoft suite – particularly Excel
•Must be a self-starter, highly self-motivated, able to work pro-actively, unsupervised and on own initiative
•Extensive knowledge of Logistics & Transport providers across the North American region
•Proven experience at reporting on logistical outcomes, creation and management of KPI’s both internally and with external 3PL warehouses.
•Must be a flexible all-rounder capable of leading exceptionally from a warehouse floor to a national daily operations program.
•Own relationship with 3rd party carriers and 3PLs and be a subject matter expert on flow of products and drive end to end efficiencies.
