CompassX is partnering with an enterprise client to support a fast-moving AI-driven initiative connecting their Oracle E-Business Suite environment to a broader integration and applications ecosystem. This is a chance to work at the architecture and development level on a genuinely complex problem for an organization that's investing seriously in modernizing how its core ERP talks to the rest of its new applications and technology stack.
Design and build a common data-services layer that connects multiple, differently-configured Oracle EBS instances across regions — reconciling real differences between environments rather than treating them as identical
Expose EBS data through integrations and APIs to other systems, with a particular focus on Manufacturing, Inventory, and Item Master data
Work hands-on with PL/SQL, EBS Open Interfaces, and standard APIs — this is a build role, not a configuration role
Partner directly with other developers and technical stakeholders as a peer — you'll be the one they come to with questions about the SQL and architecture, not someone translating between business and engineering
Bring an architect's perspective to the work: looking across distinct systems, spotting where approaches diverge, and designing a solution that holds up across all of them rather than solving for just one environment
Act as a trusted technical voice in a still-evolving initiative — this program is actively taking shape, and there's real room to help define how the work gets scoped and delivered, not just execute against a fixed spec
Strong experience working as a true consultant to your stakeholders and clients
Deep, hands-on Oracle EBS technical development experience - strong PL/SQL, EBS Open Interfaces and standard APIs, and concurrent program load mechanisms
Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and/or SOA, plus REST/SOAP web services
Working knowledge of EBS data models for Manufacturing/BOM, Inventory, and Item Master — direct experience with the Item/PTM table is especially valuable
Experience working across multiple EBS instances, ideally having reconciled differently-configured environments
A technical/integration mindset over a functional/configuration one - comfortable going deep on code and architecture, not just gathering requirements
Comfort operating with some ambiguity - this is an early-stage initiative, and part of the value you bring is helping shape the approach alongside the team, not just following one that's already fully defined
Bonus if familiarity with Oracle PD Cloud (Oracle PLM)
Our consultants say CompassX is a place where they can truly find their own path. As part of a smaller firm, they see the impact of their work, have an identity, and know their voice matters. They value the freedom to take the reins of their careers, shape their client work, and maintain a direct line to leadership.
With CompassX’s focus on serving local Southern California clients, consultants not only build lasting relationships but also see the results of their work in the communities where they live.
At CompassX, you won’t just follow a path - you’ll create one.
