Engineering Manager

Consolidated Cooperative, a member-owned organization celebrating 90 years of enhancing the quality of life for our members and communities in Central Ohio, is seeking an experienced and collaborative Engineering Manager to lead the planning, design, and reliability of our electric distribution and telecommunications systems while developing a high-performing engineering team. This role combines technical expertise, leadership, and collaboration to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective service for our members.

As Engineering Manager, you will guide a team of engineering professionals, oversee critical infrastructure initiatives, and work closely with operational leaders. What You’ll Do

• Lead, coach, and develop engineering employees while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and engagement.
• Oversee engineering operations including system planning, infrastructure design, staking activities, construction work plans, and regulatory compliance.
• Partner with operations, fiber, member engagement, and others to deliver projects, improve system reliability, and support strategic initiatives.
• Aid in the development, maintenance, and operation of engineering systems, including GIS, AMI, and SCADA, while supporting outage restoration and infrastructure improvements.
• Assist with budgeting, contract development, bid evaluations, and long-term planning for electric and telecommunications facilities.
• Maintain records for joint use and PCB transformer test data and disposal.
  

What We're Seeking

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. Professional Engineer (PE) licensure preferred.
• Five or more years of progressively responsible engineering experience, preferably within an electric utility environment.
• Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
• Effective communication, planning, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• A leadership style grounded in integrity, accountability, emotional intelligence, and service.
• Proficiency Microsoft Office applications and business technologies.
