This role focuses on leading client engagements and delivering practical outcomes across operational performance, safety, and transformation programmes.
As a Manager, you will lead workstreams or manage small-to-medium engagements, working closely with clients to define challenges, structure solutions, and support implementation. You will play a key role in ensuring delivery quality while contributing to client relationship development and business growth in Japan.
You will contribute to the delivery of transformation programmes, supporting clients in improving operational performance and organisational effectiveness.

Lead project workstreams or manage small-to-medium engagements.

Structure problems, analyse data, and develop clear, practical recommendations.

Support the design and implementation of operational improvement and transformation initiatives.

Apply disciplined project management and PMO practices, including planning, governance, and risk management.

Manage client stakeholders and build strong, professional relationships.

Facilitate meetings, workshops, and alignment sessions with client teams.

Ensure quality of deliverables through structured review and attention to detail.

Support business development activities, including proposal development and opportunity identification.

Contribute to knowledge development, thought leadership, and internal capability building.

You are a structured and analytical professional with strong consulting fundamentals and the ability to deliver results in complex environments. You are comfortable working with clients and teams, and can translate analysis into clear, actionable recommendations.
Experience in management consulting or a relevant industry role with consulting exposure.
Proven experience delivering projects and managing client-facing workstreams.
Background in one or more of the following areas is preferred:
- Operational risk and safety management;
- Operational excellence and performance improvement;
- Asset management, maintenance, or integrity;
- Operations transformation programmes.
Experience working with asset-intensive industries such as energy, chemicals, mining & metals, or manufacturing.
Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills.
Solid project management and/or PMO capability, including planning, governance, and execution tracking.
Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organisation and attention to detail.
Clear and effective communication, including presenting to client stakeholders.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in multicultural teams.
Ability to support team development and mentor junior colleagues.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline
Fluency in Japanese and English is required
Willingness to travel within Japan and internationally as required
