Lead Maintenance Technician

• →Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on trucks, compactors, and heavy equipment (diesel focus)
• →Assign and prioritize daily work orders across the shop
• →Mentor and guide technicians, ensuring repairs meet quality and safety standards
• →Serve as the shop's primary problem-solver for complex mechanical issues
• →Support preventative maintenance scheduling and parts/inventory management
• →Champion a culture of safety, cleanliness, and DOT/OSHA compliance

• 5+ years of hands-on heavy truck or fleet maintenance experience (refuse, recycling, or heavy logistics preferred)
• Strong diesel diagnostic skills — engines, aftertreatment (DPF/DEF/SCR/EGR), air brakes, and hydraulics
• Comfortable using OEM diagnostic software (Cummins INSITE, Detroit DDDL, Allison DOC, or similar)
• Experience leading or mentoring technicians in a busy shop
• Solid knowledge of DOT annual inspections, DVIRs, and OSHA shop safety
• ASE T-series certification strongly preferred (T2, T4, T6, or Master Truck); EVT a plus
• Valid driver's license required; Class B CDL with air brake endorsement preferred

Physical requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in tight spaces, and tolerate shop-floor conditions (noise, dust, fumes).
