The Service Team is looking for a new Service Engineer.
Founded in 2008, Coreso is a Regional Coordination Centre (RCC) encompassing nine European electricity Transmission System Operators (TSOs) shareholders. Our mission is to coordinate the different national power grids and proactively support European TSOs to ensure security of supply on a European basis. Thus, we provide services to secure energy transmission across the entire European continent 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to anticipate the operations both in the short term and the long term, from a year-ahead until intraday (few hours before real time).
Within the European context of progressing market mechanisms, continuous growth of renewable energy, ambitious grid development and further harmonization, new coordination challenges are numerous. Thus, the secure operation of the European electricity system will continue to represent a truly international challenge.
The Service Engineer is responsible for defining, developing and implementing coordination services, through projects in partnership with internal and external stakeholders, in order to meet the (mandatory) requirements issued by ENTSO-E and European regulation.
In international teams, she/he ensures the start-up and realisation of Coreso’s service projects as well as research or innovation projects. This is in order to reach the objectives of the project pillar of Coreso in an optimal way, while respecting budgets and deadlines.
Being a Service Engineer, your main tasks will be:
You hold a master’s degree (or equivalent) in economics, engineering or other if relevant.
You have at least 1-5 years of experience.
Strong analytical skills and structured problem solving. Proven track record on transversal management of multiple projects in the TSOs community.
Strong communication skills, concrete experience on complex projects & market design issues.
You have concrete experience in managing projects and external representation in the TSO community and/or towards policy makers.
Experience with people management is a plus.
Proven expertise in TSO organisation(s) and understanding of the TSO business model, Services by RCCs, European energy regulatory framework and EU policy objectives.
You can communicate fluently in English both written and oral.
You are a team player, interested to work in a fast-paced environment with challenging activities to contribute to a rapid-growing organization such as Coreso.
