Senior, Back-end Engineer(CX) - Coupang Play

• →Design and own the architecture roadmap of our Live Sports and Discover APIs
• →Develop, support, and improve key backend systems of the Coupang Play with high availability and scalability
• →Formulate scalable and low-latency technical solutions to satisfy product requirements from Product Owner
• →Mentor and grow a high-performing engineering team; establish best practices in code quality, system performance, and operational excellence
• →Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals and compliance requirements
• →Leverage AI for task automation and improve development quality and velocity

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience in server application and system engineering using modern language
• Deep expertise in low-latency, high-throughput systems, performance profiling, and cost/performance trade-offs
• Expert with one or more of the following programming languages for backend engineering: Go, Java, JavaScript, Node.js
• Proficient with modern cloud computing such as AWS or GCP
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Production experience with video streaming and its data systems
• Ability to work with iOS and Android developers to properly integrate and troubleshoot issues with mobile app to API integration
• Experience in GraphQL
• Ability to speak and write in English in a professional environment
