Engineering Manager

The Engineering Manager will be leading a team of engineering professionals in a customer-focused team environment, the ideal candidate will have a solid background in product engineering and project management. The candidate will possess the required skills in coaching, team building, and effective decision-making. A strong background in electronics manufacturing processes and business systems is also required. 

The successful candidate will become a member of the business unit leadership team in Albuquerque. This person will also become a member of the company-wide engineering team led by the Corporate Engineering Leader and will assist in developing strategic initiatives and roadmaps.

The key areas of responsibility include:

• Participate as a member of the Albuquerque Leadership Team
• Span Manufacturing (Product), Process, and Test Engineering organizations
• New Product Introduction – prototypes and large-scale product transfers
• BOM Management with related ECN processes
• DFx Analysis – ensuring manufacturability of new designs and efficient production processes
• Product Cost Reduction
• Equipment specifications and process validation
• Quality Improvement
• This position reports into the General Manager of our Albuquerque Business Unit

• →Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical preferred)
• →Project management experience (5+ yrs)
• →Electronics manufacturing experience (10+ yrs)
• →Leadership experience (3+ yrs)
• →Strong experience in customer relations
• →Experience with Aerospace, Military and Tech Industrial products
• →Knowledge of “Lean Manufacturing”.  Experience with rapid change models such as Kaizen
• →Knowledge of electronics test development would be an asset
• →Excellent presentation skills and experience in customer relations
• →Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and thrives on autonomy and the challenges of continuous improvement.
