About the Role

~1 min read

Technology plays a critical role in how we deliver services to people across NSW.

As a Senior Project Officer within the Digital Information Office, you'll help turn ideas into outcomes by leading projects that improve the systems, platforms and services our people rely on every day.

You'll work across a diverse portfolio of business technology initiatives, bringing together stakeholders, subject matter experts and delivery teams to solve problems, manage competing priorities and keep projects moving forward. From planning and governance through to delivery and evaluation, your work will help ensure technology investments deliver real value for our people, customers and communities.

This is an opportunity to lead meaningful work, build strong partnerships and contribute to digital improvements that make a difference across the Department.

  • Experience leading complex projects with multiple stakeholders, risks and dependencies
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex information in a clear and practical way
  • Confidence building relationships and influencing positive outcomes across diverse groups
  • A collaborative approach and genuine commitment to working better together
  • Strong judgement and the ability to balance priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience identifying risks, solving problems and adapting when circumstances change
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on quality outcomes and continuous improvement
  • A commitment to integrity, accountability and public sector values
  • Demonstrated experience delivering projects in a technology, digital, transformation or related environment.
  • Experience managing project governance, risks, reporting and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience preparing project documentation, business cases or executive reporting.

At the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI), you could shape your world while helping us shape the future of NSW. Together, we create vibrant communities, places and precincts, and manage land, assets and property.

Join our team and shape your world in a workplace that empowers you to do your best work and build a meaningful career. In this role, you’ll help shape lives and communities across NSW while growing your own career, supported by flexible work options, impactful projects and a collaborative, diverse team. As a high-performing and inclusive organisation that reflects the communities we serve, we value your lived experience and cultural knowledge, and we are committed to helping you thrive through flexible arrangements, workplace adjustments and a culture where everyone feels supported, connected and belongs.
