Lead Delivery Driver Full Time

Omnicare is a leading provider of pharmacy services to long-term care facilities nationwide, supporting skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and other institutional care settings. As we transition to an independent, standalone organization, we are building and strengthening internal capabilities to support our approximately 6,000 colleagues and multi-state operations.

The Delivery Driver Lead is responsible for the quality and efficiency of the delivery drivers and their operations.

In this high impact role, you will serve as a liaison between long term care facilities and delivery staff. You will train all transport personnel.

In this role you will:

• Coordinate work schedules and delivery routes
• Monitor work flow to analyze patterns and trends
• Review and set standards for staff
• If needed; Provide timely and accurate delivery of medication, equipment, products and/or supplies into long term care facilities or patient’s homes
• Conduct routine staff meetings

• →Driver’s license in good standing and a clean driving record
• →Must maintain a valid driver's license
• →Ability to use routing software (if applicable)
• →Ability to drive a standard transmission IF necessary
• →Verifiable High School Diploma or GED is required
• →The ability to concentrate on a task over a period without being distracted
• →Use and understand verbal and written communication to interact with customers and colleagues
• →Actively listening by giving full attention to what others are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
• →The ability to use math to solve a problem, such as calculating day’s supply of a prescription
• →Is able to judge when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong; recognizing there is a problem
• →Choosing the best course of action when faced with a complex situation with several available options
• →Customer service orientation

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
