Our client, a world leader in life sciences and biotechnology, is looking for an “Lab Operations and Project Manager” based in Foster City, CA. Job Duration: Long Term Contract (Possibility of Extension) Pay Rate : $44/hr on W2 Company Benefits: Medical, Paid Sick leave, 401K Seeking a Lab Operations & Project Manager to provide operational leadership and manage cross-functional initiatives within a biotechnology/pharmaceutical laboratory environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead laboratory operations and resolve day-to-day operational issues. Manage projects involving lab moves, infrastructure improvements, equipment relocation, installation, and facility initiatives. Oversee laboratory equipment and asset lifecycle, including procurement, maintenance, vendor service, and decommissioning. Coordinate with Facilities, IT, EHS, Procurement, Finance, scientists, and external vendors. Support budgets, capital planning, POs, invoices, and project financial tracking. Develop project plans, dashboards, metrics, and governance processes to track operational performance. Identify risks and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement. Standardize laboratory processes and improve service delivery and scientist experience. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Business, or related field. Experience in lab operations, technical operations, project management, or research environments. Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex, cross-functional projects. Experience with laboratory infrastructure, equipment lifecycle management, vendor coordination, budgeting, and operational improvement preferred.
