This is a hands-on design role. You take a store from the first site visit to opening day, and you draw it yourself. Concept stores, standalone buildings, mall units, revamps and relocations: 4 to 5 projects a year on your own, several of them live at the same time.

Our technical team in Thailand is small and close. You work next to our senior architect, our construction managers and our quantity surveyor, and you report to our Technical Director. You are the one who turns Decathlon's brand into a building that is simple to shop, cheap to run and good for the next ten years.

Job Description: I plan, design and deliver the interior and exterior architecture of our stores. I own my projects from concept to handover, I make the drawings myself, and I bring a store to life on time, on budget and true to our brand.

• Design new stores, standalone buildings, revamps, relocations, downsizing and extensions, in line with Decathlon brand and technical standards.

• Produce concept, feasibility and detailed drawings, 3D models and renderings yourself, and keep them up to date until handover.

• Run scenario studies (layout, size, downsizing or extension options) and present the right design for each store, with clear reasons.

• Balance investment, running costs, energy use and CO2 targets in every design choice.

• Prepare the BOQ input with our quantity surveyor, take part in tenders, and negotiate design contracts with consultants.

• Prepare and follow building permit applications; check planning, fire and safety compliance with local authorities.

• Visit sites regularly with our construction managers, including upcountry trips of 5 to 6 days, and solve design questions on site.

• Hand over complete as-built documentation and review each project after opening to improve the next one.

• Work with sustainability teams on green building, mobility and waste initiatives.

• Keep up with new materials, techniques and standards that lower cost and CO2.

• Collaborate with global peers to share tools and best practices across Decathlon countries.

• Architecture degree. A professional architect license is a plus.

• Around 6 years or more of architectural design, with projects you led yourself from concept to construction. Retail, showroom, F&B or commercial work is what we value most.

• Hands-on with drawings: you still produce your own construction drawings.

• Strong in AutoCAD and 3D tools (Revit or SketchUp, rendering, Adobe Suite).

• Knowledge of Thai building regulations and permits; green building certification is a plus.

• Project management, cost awareness and negotiation skills; comfortable running several projects at once.

• Working level English, enough to work confidently with our regional and global teams. Your interview will be conducted in English.

• Ready to travel upcountry regularly.
