The Junior System Administrator is responsible for maintaining and supporting DeepHealth's core IT systems, providing Level 1 and Level 2 Help Desk support, administering business-critical enterprise applications, and ensuring the health, availability, and security of the IT infrastructure. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.

 

·       Serve as a first point of contact for IT support requests, triaging and resolving common issues including password resets, software access, connectivity, and basic hardware problems.

·       Provide second-level support for escalated technical issues, troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network problems.

·       Collaborate with Level 1 support teams and escalate to higher tiers when appropriate.

·       Manage and maintain enterprise applications including Slack, Jira, and similar business-critical platforms.

·       Perform user account provisioning, access control management, and configuration changes across administered systems.

·       Coordinate with vendors on application updates, support cases, and licensing renewals.

·       Configure, deploy, and decommission hardware including desktops, laptops, and peripherals.

·       Maintain accurate asset tagging and inventory records.

·       Support remote and hybrid workers with equipment provisioning and hardware needs.

·       Sanitize and process media and equipment for secure e-waste disposal in accordance with DeepHealth policy.

·       Utilize monitoring tools to ensure system availability and performance, responding to alerts and proactively identifying potential issues.

·       Conduct regular audits of systems, user accounts, and configurations to ensure alignment with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.

·       Oversee backup schedules and validate successful completion of data backups.

·       Assist with disaster recovery testing and planning.

·       Serve as the on-site hands-on resource for remote IT teams, facilitating hardware troubleshooting, remote access, and physical maintenance.

·       Coordinate and apply operating system and application patches, testing and validating updates to minimize service disruption.

·       Maintain accurate documentation of systems, configurations, procedures, and support tickets.

·       Create and update knowledge base articles for internal IT use.

Requirements

·       Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. (Required)

·       2+ years of experience in a System Administrator or IT Support role. (Required)

·       Experience with Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems, Office 365, Active Directory, and networking fundamentals. (Required)

·       Familiarity with ticketing systems, remote support tools, and endpoint management platforms. (Required)

·       Strong problem-solving and communication skills; able to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team. (Required)

·       Microsoft Office experience. (Required)

·       Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. (Preferred)

·       Industry certification such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or ITIL Foundation. (Preferred)

 

·       Communicates, cooperates, and consistently functions professionally and harmoniously with all levels of supervision, co-workers, visitors, and vendors.

·       Demonstrates initiative, personal awareness, professionalism and integrity, and exercises confidentiality in all areas of performance. 

·       Follows all local, regional and country laws concerning employment.

·       Follows all DeepHealth policies and procedures.

·       Follows data privacy, compliance, safety and confidentiality standards at all times.

·       Practices universal safety precautions.

·       Promotes good public relations on the phone and in person.

·       Adapts and is willing to learn new tasks, methods, and systems.

·       Reports to work regularly as scheduled; consistently punctual with respect to working hours, meal and rest breaks, and maintains satisfactory personal attendance in accordance with DeepHealth guidelines.

·       Completes job responsibilities in a quality and timely manner.

This position requires domestic / international travel up to 10%.

This position often requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching with hands and arms, using hands and fingers, handling, or feeling, speaking, listening, and high-level cognitive thinking. Also, must be able to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.
