Datacenter Shift Manager in Koropi

Your role

As the Datacenter Shift Manager, you will be at the center of our operations—leading people, driving performance, and ensuring our Data Center infrastructure operates safely, efficiently, and reliably around the clock. You will oversee a team of Shift Engineers providing 24/7 coverage and act as the escalation point for operational issues and critical incidents.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Shift Engineers operating in a 24/7 environment.
  • Take overall responsibility for day-to-day Data Center operations across electrical, mechanical, and facility systems.
  • Ensure effective monitoring of preventive and corrective maintenance activities with specialist maintenance teams.
  • Act as the primary escalation point during incidents, coordinating rapid response and service restoration.
  • Foster a strong safety-first culture and ensure compliance with operational procedures, standards, and best practices.
  • Review operational performance, conduct incident investigations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage escalations and provide on-call support for critical operations when required.
  • Ensure accurate reporting, shift handovers, and operational documentation are maintained to the highest standards.

 

What You'll Need

  • Proven experience working in mission-critical or Data Center environments.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical infrastructure, including UPS systems, generators, cooling systems, and associated plant equipment.
  • Previous experience leading or managing teams supporting 24/7 operations.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions during critical incidents.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and delivering exceptional service in a high-availability environment.
  • English and Greek speaker

The technician provides 24/7 technical support, responding promptly to customer requests and operational incidents. They perform hands-on repairs, manage equipment installations, and assist with migration processes to ensure seamless customer implementation. Maintaining inventory accuracy and adhering to strict health and safety standards are key aspects of the role. The technician works collaboratively with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve issues efficiently, always prioritizing customer satisfaction. They are expected to demonstrate a proactive attitude, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering high-quality service. Effective communication and teamwork are vital, as is the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems under pressure.

- 0-2 Years experience in a data center environment - Previous technical experience in IT or a related industrial field - Vocational school or secondary education in an IT technical field - Certification as a qualified electrician is a distinct advantage - ITIL certification or training is an advantage - Fluent in English, both written and spoken - Strong communication skills - Attention to detail - Commitment and drive - Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment - Proactive, can-do attitude - Client-focused approach - Teamwork and collaboration - Adherence to health and safety standards - Problem-solving and troubleshooting
