- Prototype Development: Manage prototype builds, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality expectations are met.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with hardware engineering teams, product management, and contract manufacturers to align on deliverables.
- Manufacturing Oversight: Lead contract manufacturers through product builds, addressing technical issues and production risks.
- Risk & Issue Resolution: Anticipate project challenges, resolve issues, and implement contingency plans.
- Stakeholder Reporting: Present regular project updates to executive leadership, focusing on progress, milestones, and risks.
DAY-TO-DAY BREAKDOWN:
- 50% - Engineering Collaboration: Work closely with hardware teams on schedules, prototypes, milestones, and technical deliverables.
- 25% - Internal Reporting: Report on project timelines, risk mitigation strategies, and updates to upper management.
- 25% - External Partner Engagement: Collaborate with contract manufacturers to ensure smooth prototype builds, production alignment, and issue resolution.
MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of hardware product development experience in NPI program management.
- Expertise in NPI & PCB Development: Familiar with PCB manufacturing and hardware product lifecycle management.
- Strong Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation.
- Effective Communication: Strong verbal and written skills, including executive-level presentations.
- Tools & Methodologies: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs, Smartsheets, and project management tools (Agile experience preferred).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Liquid Cooling Experience or exposure to advanced networking hardware.
- PMP or MBA Certification is a plus.
- Experience with networking, data center hardware, or enterprise product development.
