Responsible for managing categories and sub-categories worldwide, including goods and services that support the company and its customers. The following global and regional Indirect sub-categories will be supported by this role: Major Sub-Category Groups with global oversight include Professional Services (e.g., Certified Public Accounting, Business Process Consulting, etc.) and Business Services (e.g., Marketing & Communications, Market Intelligence, Business Print Services, etc.).
Responsibilities include setting category strategies; supply base development to meet the company and customer requirements; and supplier contracting and negotiations; supplier qualification; and establishing quality processes while resolving quality issues.
Emphasis is on strategy, supplier development, negotiations, business relationships, quality, cost, assurance of supply, and predictability. Develops the company procurement strategies, policies, and tactics required to achieve objectives. The primary objective is to reduce the cost of supply and meet demand requirements, business and quality specifications, improve supplier payment terms, and revenue goals. Adds value to the company by managing performance aspects of major contracts and subcontracts.

- →Support Corporate Functions and Offering organizations with sourcing and contracting requirements.
- →Leads the assigned Major Sub-Category Group and provides direction and guidance to Regional Category Managers and Category Hub team members supporting Professional Services and Business Services.
- →Supervises and guides a team of procurement professionals, supporting their development and performance.
- →Analyzes industry trends and procurement performance to support assigned categories and reports results to procurement leadership.
- →Oversees supplier engagements and contract compliance.
- →Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to meet procurement objectives and ensure procurement activities align with broader organizational objectives.
- →Contributes to the execution of procurement and supply chain strategies, with emphasis on achieving departmental goals and targets.
- →Uses supply chain, procurement, and financial modeling tools to analyze processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce cost.
- →Engages in partner projects and applies experience, discretion, and judgment to align individual work with overall strategy.
- →Reviews performance metrics regularly, identifies improvement opportunities, and drives appropriate follow-up actions.
Candidates for this role must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Typically, 7+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role in procurement or supply chain function.
- Must be legally authorized to work in US without requiring sponsorship now nor in the future
- Proven experience in supply chain management.
- Proficiencies in vendor management, cost control, and procurement strategies.
- Good knowledge and use of procurement tools and applications.
- Good understanding of procurement processes, industry, and suppliers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
In addition to the basic qualifications noted above, we find that individuals who are successful in this role have:
- Supply Chain Management experience in support of Indirect categories considered a plus.
- Experience in stakeholder management, able to demonstrate meeting stakeholder needs and still driving supply chain strategies.
- Good business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint) and basic supply chain modeling skills.
- Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
- Good teamwork skills.
- Demonstrates a continuous-learning mindset and stays abreast of relevant industry knowledge and technology developments.
- Utilizes AI tools, digital assistants, and agentic solutions to enhance sourcing, contract management, analytics, stakeholder engagement, and operational processes.
- Applies AI to increase efficiency, improve insight generation, and focus resources on higher-value strategic activities.
- Mastery of English and local language.
