About the Role

The NDC Flow Controller is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Adelaide National Distribution Centre (NDC) supporting the Spare Parts business. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this role ensures operational efficiency, resource optimization, safety compliance, service excellence, and continuous improvement across warehouse activities.

The successful candidate will act as a key link between warehouse operations and business stakeholders, leading daily operational execution, supporting team leaders, and ensuring service level commitments are consistently achieved.

Responsibilities

  • →Coordinate daily warehouse operations in partnership with Warehouse Team Leaders to ensure safe, efficient, and productive outcomes.
  • →Act as the primary operational point of contact between the Planning team and Warehouse Operations, ensuring alignment of business priorities and warehouse execution.
  • →Ensure planning priorities and operational requirements are effectively communicated and executed across warehouse teams.
  • →Support the Warehouse Manager in managing warehouse capacity, labour allocation, wave planning and kitting workloads, ensuring resources are aligned to meet service level commitments and business objectives.
  • →Coordinate inbound activities, ensuring receiving capacity, labour resources, and warehouse readiness are aligned with planned deliveries and backorder priorities.
  • →Coordinate outbound order fulfilment and shipment priorities to ensure customer and business service level requirements are consistently achieved.
  • →Coordinate with Kitting Leader on plan, schedule, and monitor kitting activities to ensure KIT availability according to needs.
  • →Coordinate, monitor, and expedite stock transfers between the Adelaide NDC and Distribution Centers across Australia and New Zealand to ensure inventory availability, priority demands, and service level commitments are consistently met.
  • →Monitor operational performance against established KPIs and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • →Ensure spare parts are received, handled, stored, and distributed in accordance with company standards and customer requirements.
  • →Maintain the accuracy and integrity of inventory and logistics data within SAP EWM and associated business systems.
  • →Serve as the primary operational contact and escalation point for key internal stakeholders and customers.
  • →Support inventory control activities, including cycle counting, stock reconciliation, and inventory accuracy initiatives.

 

People Leadership & Team Management

  • →Communicate daily objectives, priorities, and performance expectations to warehouse teams.
  • →Coordinate and allocate labor resources to meet operational requirements and customer demand.
  • →Foster a collaborative, accountable, and customer-focused team environment.
  • →Support the Warehouse Manager in workforce planning and operational decision-making.
  • →Safety, Quality & Compliance
  • →Champion a strong safety culture and proactively identify and eliminate workplace risks.
  • →Ensure compliance with all workplace health, safety, environmental, and operational standards.
  • →Participate in safety audits, investigations, and corrective action implementation.
  • →Promote adherence to quality processes and inventory accuracy standards.
  • →Reporting & Administration
  • →Generate and analyze operational reports, KPI performance metrics, and productivity data.
  • →Monitor workforce attendance and labor performance.
  • →Support inventory control, cycle counts, and compliance activities

Continuous Improvement

  • →Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, service levels, safety, and inventory accuracy.
  • →Analyse operational trends and develop recommendations to improve warehouse performance.
  • →Support process standardization and best-practice implementation across the operation.

 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations.
  • Proven experience coordinating warehouse operations within a fast-paced distribution environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with responsibility for directing and motivating operational teams.
  • Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), preferably SAP EWM.
  • Strong experience managing customer and stakeholder relationships.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, warehouse productivity, and operational performance measurement.

 

  • Strong leadership and people management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Effective planning, prioritization, and workload management abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic operational environment.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and reporting tools.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
