Elevate is a business management consulting firm. This means we help our clients solve problems. We provide a wide range of services including planning, organizational transformation, change management, stakeholder engagement, procurement and more. We work on both small short-term projects and large multi-year complex projects. We are dedicated to understanding the true needs of our clients and working with them to identify optimum solutions tailored to address those needs.

You need a passion for service to work here. Our greatest joy is seeing others succeed. We take pride in providing quality work and we have a lot of fun doing it. This is a place for people who are committed to providing the best results; perfectionists; and people who are energized by challenges. If you think being a consultant is all about going to meetings and telling people what you think they should do, then you won’t fit in here. Consulting is hard and challenging work. We produce and deliver a significant amount for our clients. They expect a lot from us, and we demand a lot from our team members. We are a small firm, so every team member is expected to be actively engaged on leading or supporting projects – from project management to facilitation to the creation of deliverables, and everything in between. And we love it!

About the Role

~1 min read

Location: Victoria, BC or Edmonton, AB | Hybrid

You’re curious about how organizations work, why things get complicated, and what would actually make them better. You enjoy digging into information, making sense of what you find, and turning it into something people can use.

At Elevate Consulting, you’ll help clients tackle challenges in planning, organizational change, stakeholder engagement and business improvement. You’ll work alongside experienced consultants, contributing to projects while building your own consulting skills.

Expect research, analysis, writing, meeting preparation and plenty of revisions. The details matter because clients use our work to make decisions.

  • Research organizational challenges, review information and summarize findings.
  • Help develop reports, presentations, project plans and other client deliverables.
  • Support interviews, workshops and stakeholder engagement, including preparing materials and capturing useful insights.
  • Track project activities, deadlines and follow-up.
  • Contribute to proposals and responses to requests for proposals.
  • Apply feedback and take increasing ownership of your work as your skills develop.
  • Experience producing research, analysis, written reports or presentations through employment, internships or substantial academic projects.
  • Examples of coordinating activities, supporting projects or working with different stakeholders.
  • Practical experience using Microsoft 365 to develop documents, spreadsheets and presentations.
  • Education or experience relevant to business, public administration, organizational change or a related field.

Consulting or public-sector experience would be useful. We’re also interested in relevant experience gained elsewhere.

We’ll want to understand how you approach an unfamiliar problem, what questions you ask and how you decide what matters. We’ll explore how you respond to feedback, manage competing deadlines and flag something you need help with.

You should be comfortable contributing your ideas, listening carefully and revising your thinking. If you use AI, we’ll expect you to explain how you check its output and protect the quality of your work.

We’re a small business management consulting firm, so your contribution will be visible. You’ll work with colleagues who care about client outcomes, take quality seriously and enjoy the work. We offer a competitive base salary, comprehensive extended health benefits, a Health Spending Account and a flexible, hybrid work model.

Apply through the Apply Now button with a one- or two-page résumé and a cover letter of no more than one page. Tell us why this work interests you, describe one project or piece of work you’re proud of, and identify whether you’re closest to our Victoria or Edmonton office.

Shortlisted candidates will complete a brief practical exercise. Applications are accepted through the application portal; we cannot accept telephone or emailed applications.

We thank everyone who applies. Candidates selected for the next step will be contacted.
