Accountant

Our client is seeking an experienced Accountant to join the Summerstand, Port Elizabeth team Drafting annual financial statements on Caseware Review annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS for SMEs Perform monthly accounting functions including journals, reconciliations, and management reports Complete tax calculations and submissions for individuals, companies, and trusts (Income Tax, VAT, PAYE, Provisional Tax, etc.) Handle CIPC submissions and compliance (annual returns, company changes, etc.) Liaise with clients, SARS, and other regulatory bodies Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management for clients Provide guidance and support to trainee accountants and clerks Keep up to date with legislative and regulatory changes in accounting and tax Requirements Grade 12 BCom Accounting Completed SAIPA Articles Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience Strong knowledge of IFRS for SMEs, Companies Act, and relevant tax legislation Experience with Caseware and Xero Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
