About The Role:
At Enfuce, we enable modern card issuing and payment processing for some of Europe’s most innovative fintechs.
We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to initially lead a high-performing team responsible for Card Processing, the most critical part of our core platform that ensures millions of transactions are processed securely and reliably every day.
You’ll lead and shape how we scale our systems, strengthen reliability, and grow the technical and human capabilities of your teams. This is a key leadership role at the heart of Enfuce’s mission to deliver trusted, world-class financial infrastructure.
What You'll Be Doing:
You will initially lead 6 direct reports consisting of Backend Engineers, and Subject Matter Experts, with the opportunity to expand your leadership scope to 2+ teams in 12-24 months.
You will be responsible for coaching and developing the people in your team, ensuring timely project delivery, setting a high quality standard and leading the teams to have the greatest impact for Enfuce and our customers. You will work closely with Product managers and Senior leadership to ensure we ship the right work at the right time. You will inspire your teams and those around you though embodying the Enfuce values.
Champion engineering excellence by promoting observability, automation, and strong DevOps practices, fostering a healthy, high-performing culture built on trust, clarity, and continuous improvement.
What You'll Bring:
Experience leading and managing high performing engineers in a distributed environment.
Proven track record of building and running reliable backend systems, ideally in Java (Spring Boot) on AWS.
Experience managing systems with strict SLAs, observability, and traceability.
You can dive into architecture discussions and understand trade-offs.
Excellent communication in English, with the ability to align teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
Curiosity and a growth mindset, especially towards the card issuing and payments domain.
