Maintains, tracks, and organizes projects for custom automation department. Creates and maintains project schedules. Coordinates with internal and external vendors and service providers to ensure timely execution of all project phases.

Responsibilities

  • →Creates project schedules and tracks against the key milestones. Investigates when critical dates are missed and work with the operations team to ID correction and update schedule.
  • →Effectively utilize resource pool for realistic schedules
  • →Leads conversations with suppliers, with technical support from operations.
  • →Contribute to project kickoff and weekly production meetings
  • →Maintain regular communication paths with customer, internal automation team, and other ENGEL teams as needed. Via status meetings with notes, LOPs, schedule updates.
  • →Act as technical representative for FATs including tracking performance and organizing post-test summary
  • →Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by a supervisor.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 year Associates Degree in technical field
  • Travel approximately 1%-5% of the time to customer or vender site
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Must possess a valid passport
  • Ability to travel internationally

  • Minimum four (4) years’ experience working as a project manager on technical projects similar to Automation and Robotic Systems
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office with good document control skills
  • Knowledge of ProjectWorx, MS Project or equivalent project planning software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound professional judgment
  • Good time management skills – ability to handle several projects at once
  • Proactive mindset to anticipate customer/team needs, address issues and escalate promptly
  • Experience with risk management and change management
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams and Sharepoint preferred
  • Familiar with Project Management Institute (PMI) methodology preferred
  • Prior experience in a technical role preferred
