ENSCO is seeking an Information Security Intern to support day-to-day cybersecurity operations. The role will primarily assist with internal SOC activities as ENSCO expands its in-house monitoring and response capabilities, while also supporting compliance, vulnerability management, security tickets, general InfoSec operations, and IT Help Desk activities as needed.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Assist with Tier 1 SOC alert monitoring, triage, documentation, and escalation.
- →Support security incident and phishing investigations.
- →Assist with vulnerability tracking and remediation follow-up.
- →Work InfoSec help desk and security-related tickets.
- →Provide support to the IT Help Desk as necessary, including basic troubleshooting, user support, and ticket resolution.
- →Support CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, and other compliance activities, including evidence collection and documentation.
- →Help maintain security procedures, playbooks, reports, and operational documentation.
- →Support general cybersecurity projects and day-to-day InfoSec operations.
Requirements
~1 min read- Pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of networking, Windows, cybersecurity, and incident response concepts.
- Strong analytical, communication, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Exposure to Splunk/SIEM, EDR, Microsoft 365/Entra ID, Tenable, CMMC/NIST frameworks, and/or PowerShell/Python
- CompTIA Security+.
