BESS Project Engineer

To strengthen our Operations team, we are looking for an BESS Project Engineer who will contribute to the analysis of energy data, support the development of AI-based price and energy forecasts, and generate actionable insights through the analysis of operational and financial performance. • Assess and document battery potential across enshift’s project pipeline.
• Carry out technical and commercial feasibility studies for BESS projects.
• Develop battery sizing, installation, grid-connection and operating concepts.
• Manage battery projects from initial assessment and offer preparation through contracting, technical planning, execution and commissioning.
• Define requirements and support the selection of BESS, EMS and medium-voltage station solutions.
• Coordinate customers, utilities, authorities, suppliers, installers and internal project teams.
• Establish repeatable processes and standards for developing and delivering battery projects.

• Technical university degree in electrical engineering, energy engineering or a related field.
• Professional experience in renewable-energy, electrical-infrastructure or energy-storage projects.
• Good understanding of electrical systems, grid connections and technical project delivery.
• Experience with BESS, medium-voltage systems, EMS integration or project commissioning is an advantage.
• Fluent German and English; French or Italian would be an advantage.
• Structured and proactive personality with a strong sense of ownership.
• Resilience and flexibility to succeed in a fast-growing, international environment.
