IP Backbone Operations Senior Engineer.Network Management

Operate, expand and maintain availability and KPIs of Etisalat IP backbone Network. Candidate

main role is guidance of IP backbone back office teams throughout network configuration

management, operation, audits and maintenance of Etisalat IP backbone Network

• Review & Manage services KPIs & SLAs and assure it meets Etisalat requirements.
• Review MS support agreements.
• Assessing and auditing the activities performed by IPBB back office teams (Core< IGW and RAN).
• Assessing and auditing the fault handling efficiency of IPBB front office teams (Core, IGW and RAN).
• Setting the best processes (with the interlocking teams) for a smooth work flow.
• Handling the team's escalations and making sure the internal and external customers' satisfaction is achieved.

• Responsible for Acceptance, Integration, Configuration and Operation of IP Backbone network nodes.

• Responsible for Configuration Management, Change management, Problem management, Incident
• management through IP Backbone network domains (Core, RAN, Internet)

• Responsible for Audits and corrections to cover potential risks and gaps to meet target IP Backboneavailability of 100%

• Leading the MS team to achieve organization targets.
• Technically supporting the team throughout network problems and outages until resolution withinSLA.

• Configuring, operating and maintaining the company international and local network lines.
• Administrating Etisalat Internet Gateways for Etisalat internal customers, Mobile users and Etisalat ISPs.

• Administrating Etisalat charging IP network.
• Guiding back office team through Configuration and operation of the IP Backbone network and theservices that are delivered via this network, including MPLS VPNs, QOS, RSVP, LDP, ELRP, STP, LDT, Nb, SS7, A/IP, Iub/IP, Abis/IP, Gb, IuPS, IuCS, IuR Internet, etc.
• Leading the optimization and redundancy of the IP backbone network, achieved by carrying
• redundancy tests and adjusting network configuration and design accordingly, to ensure that all services are redundant.
• Responsible for reliability, performance, scalability, quality, and availability of the BackboneNetwork.
• Performing needed analysis during outages or extreme congestion conditions and applying corrective actions to minimize service impact.
• Ensure traffic utilization is efficiently distributed over the network by Manipulating Traffic flows using MPLS to leverage capacity of the network.
• Assess traffic impact as a result of network maintenance activities.
• Evaluating the back office teams' performance and make sure points of strength are capitalized on and points of weakness are identified for improvement.
• Performing risk assessment for the daily actions performed by IPBB BO teams

• Maintain archive of network incidents to keep records of network problems and solutions and future preventive actions.
• Implement assigned Plans and projects properly to ensure timeliness of work progress with work plans.
• Follow on quality assurance and control process to ensure adherence to standards.
• Furnish innovative applicable ideas & solutions in order to facilitate work and enhance BO teams’ performance.
• Communicate with vendors and suppliers to accomplish daily tasks, and maintain proper problem handling.
• Evaluate and follows up with Managed Services staff for all assigned projects and planned changes to ensure commitment to time frames, quality and maintaining SLA.

BSc Degree in Communication electronics or computer engineering

GSM/WCDMA fundamentals.

Wireless GSM/WCDMA techniques.

CCIP

JNCIP

Very good spoken & written English & Arabic language is required.

Very good problem solving techniques is required for resolution of daily network problems

and incidents

Excellent Computer skills, Advanced MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint) skills are required.

Between 3 to 5 years of experience within IP Telecom environment.
