About the Role

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and highly motivated Patterson Flynn Lead Operations Associate to join our distribution center team in Fort Mill, South Carolina. This position serves as a working lead, supporting daily warehouse operations while providing guidance, training, and direction to Operations Associates.

The Lead Operations Associate will play an important role in ensuring orders, samples, inventory, and related materials are processed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills, leadership ability, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within warehouse management systems and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Daily Operations: Provide day-to-day direction and support to Operations Associates to ensure work assignments, production priorities, and departmental goals are completed accurately and on time.
  • Train and Develop Team Members: Assist with onboarding and training new and existing employees on departmental procedures, safety expectations, equipment operation, quality standards, and productivity requirements.
  • Forklift Operation and Training: Safely operate powered industrial equipment and maintain the ability to train and support employees on proper forklift operation in accordance with company safety requirements and applicable certification standards.
  • Warehouse Management Systems: Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other internal systems to process orders, track inventory, research discrepancies, update transactions, and support daily warehouse operations.
  • Microsoft Excel: Use Microsoft Excel to maintain operational information, track productivity and inventory, organize data, and assist with reporting and departmental documentation.
  • Monitor Workflow and Productivity: Assist with coordinating daily workload, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and identifying operational issues that may impact productivity, quality, or order completion.
  • Fulfill and Process Orders: Process incoming orders by accurately selecting products, verifying quantities, packaging materials securely, and preparing orders for shipment.
  • Print and Label Samples: Accurately print and apply product labels, ensuring labels correspond with the correct products, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Cut and Allocate Samples: Precisely cut product samples according to required specifications and properly allocate materials for inventory, customer orders, or other operational needs.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate sample and material inventory by completing inventory transactions, identifying discrepancies, organizing materials, and ensuring inventory records remain accurate.
  • Package Client Materials: Assemble samples, marketing materials, and other components into professional packages for shipment to clients, ensuring all required materials are included.
  • Manage Marketing Materials: Track new and existing marketing materials and assets while maintaining organized inventory levels and ensuring materials are readily available when needed.
  • Quality and Accuracy: Review completed work for accuracy and quality and assist team members in correcting errors or process inconsistencies.
  • Safety and Compliance: Promote a safe working environment by following and reinforcing company safety policies, proper material-handling procedures, and equipment requirements.
  • Team Support and Communication: Serve as a point of contact for Operations Associates by communicating priorities, answering operational questions, escalating concerns when appropriate, and helping maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve workflow, organization, productivity, inventory accuracy, and overall departmental efficiency and communicate recommendations to management.
  • Physical Requirements: Safely lift, carry, push, or move packages and materials weighing up to 50 lbs. as required.
  • Attendance and Reliability: Maintain consistent and dependable attendance and have reliable transportation to the Fort Mill, South Carolina facility.
  • Follow Established Procedures: Execute tasks according to detailed work instructions, standard operating procedures, quality expectations, and management direction to maintain consistency throughout operations.

The Lead Operations Associate is expected to lead by example by demonstrating professionalism, reliability, accountability, teamwork, safety awareness, and attention to detail. This position will assist management with maintaining daily operational standards but should also remain actively involved in performing the work alongside the team.
