Foth is currently seeking a team-focused, innovative, and results-oriented Environmental Engineer to support our growing solid waste client and project portfolio. This position may be based in our Minneapolis, MN; Green Bay, WI; Peoria, IL; Cedar Rapids, IA; or Milwaukee, WI locations, with the flexibility to work in a hybrid arrangement. We are looking for someone who is eager to gain hands-on experience in the solid waste industry, pursue continuous learning, and contribute meaningfully to the success of our clients and projects.
Provide hands-on technical engineering for solid waste facilities
Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce plan sets for permitting and construction
Prepare permit submittals to regulatory agencies
Document construction quality on landfill projects (some travel required – up to 20%)
Assist in preparing regulatory compliance plans and reports
Prepare sampling plans and collect field sampling data (soil, groundwater, and air)
Analyze and interpret data
Prepare engineer cost estimates and complete cost benefit economic analysis
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Environmental Engineering, or related degree
2 years of engineering experience
Experience preparing technical reports and memos
Engineer-in-Training designation (or ability obtain within one year)
Experience with an environmental consulting firm
Experience with Construction Quality Assurance
40-hour Hazwoper certification
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
Experience in the Solid Waste industry
