You're a seasoned project controls professional with 7+ years managing schedule, cost, change, and documentation on large-scale, mission-critical construction programs — ideally in data centers, schedule-driven sector where downtime isn't an option. You read a P6 schedule critically — spotting broken logic, float that's been quietly manipulated, and a critical path that's about to move before it shows up in next week's update. You can pick apart a change order line by line and know a GMP well enough to catch a buyout gap before it becomes a claim.

You're equally comfortable pushing back on a general contractor in a weekly OAC meeting and briefing an executive on cost and schedule risk in five minutes flat. You don't wait to be asked for bad news — you surface it early, with the data to back it up. You build trust with GCs, design consultants, finance, and leadership not by being agreeable, but by being fair, prepared, and unwilling to accept a story that doesn't add up.

You think in systems — cost, schedule, risk, and change aren't separate disciplines to you, they're one integrated view of program health — and you're comfortable operating in an environment where the schedule compresses, the scope shifts, and the stakes don't.

• →Manage the third-party scheduling consultants who review, analyze, and maintain the master schedule, setting expectations for quality, cadence, and reporting
• →Work directly with general contractors to review and validate their schedules — testing logic, durations, critical path, float, and sequencing against owner milestones
• →Own schedule health reporting to leadership, giving a clear, honest picture of progress, risk, and forecast, and escalating issues before they become delays
• →Own the change order process end-to-end: intake, review, verification, negotiation, and resolution
• →Critically evaluate change orders for scope, pricing, and schedule impact — verifying quantities, labor, markups, and backup rather than taking submissions at face value
• →Negotiate change orders directly with the general contractor to protect Galaxy's cost and schedule position
• →Represent Galaxy in weekly change and progress meetings with the GC, driving accountability and timely closure of open items
• →Maintain a complete, auditable change order log reconciled against the project budget and GMP
• →Serve as the bridge between field/GC reality and Finance's cost picture, ensuring both tell the same story
• →Own documentation control for active projects — RFIs, submittals, change documentation, meeting records, and contractual correspondence
• →Establish and improve project controls standards, templates, reporting, and governance across the portfolio

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of project controls or construction management experience on large-scale, complex programs; mission-critical or data center experience required
• Proven experience managing schedule on the owner's side, including oversight of scheduling consultants and review of GC-maintained schedules
• Deep, hands-on command of CPM scheduling and Primavera P6 — enough to interrogate a schedule, not just read one
• Demonstrated experience owning the change order process, including verification and direct negotiation with general contractors
• Strong working knowledge of construction contracts and GMP structures (AIA A133/A201 or similar)
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to hold GCs accountable and brief executives with equal credibility
• Ability to manage controls across multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

• The versatility to move fluidly between the field, the GC, Finance, and the executive table, tailoring the message to each without losing the thread.
• A bias for order and structure — you bring discipline to controls, documentation, and reporting in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% to Data Center sites as the work requires.
