Project Contract Manager - Bridges Engineering (Northam)

We're looking for an Project Contract Manager - Bridges Engineering to work with our client Main Roads WA in Northam.

This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity, working 42.5 hours per week, supporting the development, procurement and delivery of bridge infrastructure projects across Western Australia.

We're seeking qualified civil engineers who enjoy taking ownership of projects from concept through to construction. You'll be responsible for managing project development activities, coordinating design inputs, engaging with stakeholders and overseeing procurement and delivery activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with project objectives.

• Managing the development and delivery of bridge infrastructure projects from planning through to construction
• Preparing project scopes and design briefs while coordinating consultants and design activities
• Leading stakeholder engagement, consultation and project coordination activities
• Managing environmental, heritage, land and utility service investigations and approvals
• Coordinating procurement activities, including preparation of tender documentation and contractor engagement
• Managing contracts during delivery to ensure compliance with project requirements, budgets and schedules
• Monitoring project performance and proactively managing risks, issues and opportunities
• Building and maintaining strong working relationships with contractors, consultants, clients and key stakeholders
• Supporting financial management activities including forecasting, budget monitoring and reporting
• Contributing to the successful delivery of bridge replacement and infrastructure improvement projects

• →Degree-qualified Civil Engineer
• →3-8 years' experience in civil engineering, infrastructure delivery, project management or contract management environments
• →Demonstrated experience managing engineering or infrastructure projects through development and delivery phases
• →Sound understanding of project and contract management principles and practices
• →Experience managing consultants, contractors and project stakeholders
• →Exposure to bridge, road, transport or civil infrastructure projects
• →Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• →Ability to coordinate multiple project activities, priorities and technical inputs
• →Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• →Experience managing project budgets, schedules and financial performance

• Experience delivering bridge replacement or bridge rehabilitation projects
• Experience with Main Roads WA or similar government infrastructure programs
• Experience in procurement, tendering and contract administration
• CPEng status or progression towards chartership

GHD has been appointed by Main Roads Western Australia to deliver a state-wide Operational Asset Management Support Service (AMSS) contract. Under this contract, GHD provides centralised and regional support to assist Main Roads manage and maintain the State Road network.
