In response to continued growth within our Water & Wastewater Treatment business, our team in Syracuse, NY is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to help support the development and expansion of our Water Business across Central New York and beyond. In this role, you’ll provide senior-level technical expertise to support the successful delivery of water and wastewater treatment and infrastructure projects. Working closely with project managers and multidisciplinary teams, you’ll lead technical evaluations and help develop high-quality reports, technical memoranda, designs, and other key deliverables. You’ll coordinate technical activities, mentor staff, and help keep project milestones, budgets, and schedules on track while delivering practical solutions for our clients.
Beyond project delivery, you’ll have the opportunity to play an important role in business development, marketing strategies, and client engagement; with opportunities to shape win strategies and pricing for new work. This position also offers the chance to mentor project team members and collaborate with project team leaders across the region. Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor's and/or Master’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related field of study with a water/wastewater focus
- Professional Engineering license (New York preferred)
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the planning, design and construction of water/wastewater infrastructure and treatment facilities (some time spent serving clients in Central New York and the surrounding area preferred)
- Experience with business development, proposal preparation, and marketing skills preferred
- A standout colleague and project leader with a strong client focus
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary technical staff
- Practiced self-management skills related to organization, budget control, and schedule management
Salary range: $94,000-$156,750 based on experience and location
