Our US East Environmental business group is looking for a highly motivated Senior Environmental Engineer and accomplished technical leader to join our contamination assessment and remediation team. In this role, you will lead the investigation, evaluation, design, implementation, and optimization of remedies for complex contaminated sites while providing trusted technical guidance to clients, project teams, and regulatory stakeholders.

The preferred location for this position is Decatur, AL but Atlanta, GA, Buford, GA or Nashville (Franklin), TN will also be considered. 

• Leading multidisciplinary remedial investigation and remediation projects from conceptual site model development through remedy selection, design, construction, operation, optimization, and closure
• Developing and reviewing feasibility studies, remedial action plans, design calculations, drawings, specifications, cost estimates, construction work plans, and technical reports
• Evaluating and applying remedial technologies for impacted soil, groundwater, soil vapor, sediment, and other environmental media
• Providing engineering oversight during remediation construction, system startup, performance monitoring, and operation and maintenance activities
• Developing practical, constructible, and cost-effective engineering solutions that meet client objectives and regulatory requirements
• Leading proposals, scopes, schedules, budgets, and client communications while mentoring engineers and collaborating with scientists, geologists, contractors, and specialty service teams

• →Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or a closely related engineering discipline
• →Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required, or ability to obtain licensure in the applicable jurisdiction within an agreed timeframe
• →15+ years of environmental consulting experience, including progressive responsibility for remedial investigation, feasibility evaluation, remedial design, construction, and remedy performance
• →Demonstrated experience selecting and designing remedies for contaminated soil and groundwater, including treatment, containment, removal, hydraulic control, vapor mitigation, or monitored natural attenuation approaches
• →Strong understanding of engineering calculations, design deliverables, permitting, construction methods, health and safety requirements, quality assurance, and applicable environmental regulations
• →Proven project management experience, including development and control of scope, schedule, budget, risk, subcontractors, and technical quality across multiple concurrent projects
• →Ability to provide senior technical review, resolve complex field and design issues, and communicate engineering recommendations clearly to clients, regulators, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams
• →Experience identifying client needs, developing remedial strategies, preparing competitive proposals, and supporting account growth
