Lynmore Construct is a Melbourne-based remedial builder and head contractor specializing in waterproofing, façade remediation, and building rectification projects across Australia.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Remedial Construction Estimator to support the preparation of accurate cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and tender submissions for remedial construction projects.

The ideal candidate has proven experience estimating remedial construction works, including waterproofing remediation, façade remediation, cladding replacement, balcony rectification, and reroofing projects within the Australian construction industry.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and pricing for remedial construction tenders.
  • Perform accurate quantity take-offs from architectural, structural, and remedial drawings, specifications, and consultant reports.
  • Assist in preparing draft tender submission documents.
  • Review tender documentation to identify scope gaps, risks, exclusions, and pricing assumptions.
  • Prepare Requests for Information (RFIs) and support tender clarifications.
  • Source, evaluate, and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations.
  • Support tender strategy, pricing reviews, and final submission preparation.
  • Maintain accurate estimating records, cost databases, and historical pricing information.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure estimates align with project scope and client requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Construction Estimator.
  • Demonstrated experience estimating remedial construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Building defect rectification
    • Waterproofing remediation
    • Façade remediation
    • Cladding replacement and remediation
    • Balcony waterproofing and rectification
    • Roofing and reroofing remediation works
  • Previous experience working for a remedial builder, waterproofing contractor, façade contractor, or head contractor.
  • Experience with occupied-building remediation projects is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong ability to interpret architectural, structural, and remedial drawings.
  • Solid understanding of Australian construction practices, tendering procedures, and estimating methodologies.
  • Experience preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), quantity take-offs, and cost estimates.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines in a remote environment.
