Hot Section Engineering - Design Engineer Co-Op (January 2027) (Hybrid)

• Enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical Engineering and/or Aerospace Engineering.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

• →Designs major components or major portions of functional systems, technically advanced prototypes, and specific products using computer design and engineering systems.
• →Investigates pertinent design factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability, replaceability, strength-weight efficiency, and contractual specifications requirements and cost.
• →Provides analytical support through all design phase, production manufacturing and field support services.
• →Analysis and disposition of quality non-conformances (QNs) for new parts, and supplier requests for information (SRI’s).
• →English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English

Hot Section Engineering is responsible for the design, development, technology maturation and in service support of all diffuser cases, combustors, turbines (vanes, blades, rotors and cases), augmenters (military), nozzles and associated fuel systems for all military, commercial and industrial engine models and radial auxiliary power units.  

Technical disciplines in HSE include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, Durability and Product Definition.

Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. This means that responsibilities of the job need to be performed onsite in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico on a regular basis with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager.
