Sr. Prime Transformation Finance Program Manager (Hybrid)

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience

The Collins Aerospace Digital Technology (DT)  Program Management Office (PMO) is seeking a Program Finance Manager to lead financial management, forecasting, labor tracking, and cost control for the Prime Transformation initiative, a major enterprise-wide effort focused on modernizing processes, systems, and operating models across Collins Aerospace. The manager will work extensively in systems such as SAP, Cost and Budget Reporting Application (COBRA), Planview, and must be proficient in Microsoft Excel.

This role is a member of the Prime transformation leadership team and collaborates with DT Finance, DT Program Management and Project Managers to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and operational support across all Prime workstreams.

**This is a hybrid position, at one of Collins major facilities**

• →Labor Tracking
• →Compare transformation labor hours against project plans to ensure accurate time charging.
• →Review weekly labor hours for all Prime workstreams and reconcile discrepancies.
• →Support labor forecasting and validate charges across cost centers and transformation projects.
• →Assign resources to work centers and support work center creation during reorganizations tied to Prime rollout.
• →Forecasting & Financial Management
• →Manage and update Forecast On‑Time Delivery (Forecast OTD) metrics for Prime initiatives.
• →Enter and maintain workstream-level forecasts in Planview.
• →Validate that Planview forecasts reflect current priorities, schedule shifts, and transformation scope changes.
• →Perform variance analysis, identify financial or schedule deviations, and partner with Project Managers to determine root cause.
• →Report variances and provide clear explanations to DT Finance, PMO stakeholders, and Prime leadership.
• →Meet regularly with Finance to review forecasts, actuals, and required corrective actions.
• →Perform adhoc reviews of actuals in SAP to resolve issues prior to monthly financial close.
• →Support PO tracking for Prime workstreams and coordinate with Finance on PO status and required actions.
• →Track budget changes, funding adjustments, and cost-saving opportunities identified during transformation efforts.
• →Prepare accruals—including standard accruals and Project‑Manager‑initiated accruals—and submit to Finance.
• →Identify capital versus expense items and prepare Electronic Capital Authorization Requests (eCARs) related to Prime systems, tools, and process modernization investments.
• →Set up charge codes and support new project setup activities for Prime workstreams.
• →Research project charging issues and resolve discrepancies across DT and business unit stakeholders.
• →Process, troubleshoot, and track Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) carts.
• →Create project investment summaries and assist Project Managers with cost and schedule variance analysis.
• →Work with DT Finance and business units to gather and validate project actuals tied to transformation deliverables.
• →Manage daily workload independently using financial and accounting principles to solve operational issues within a fast-paced transformation environment.
