Engineering, physics, or related technical background.
Hands‑on experience with technical equipment or instrumentation.
Experience with performing calculations and interpretation test data.
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience

Experience designing mechanical assemblies using SolidWorks or NX
Experience with high‑speed video systems or other camera platforms.
Experience working with energetic materials (CAD/PAD, rockets, explosives).

Responsibilities

→Work as part of an engineering team in developing, testing, and qualifying various aircraft escape systems and components.
→Set up and operate high‑speed cameras (Ametek Phantom and others) to capture test events, including fixed‑position and tracking applications.
→Support safe handling and setup of energetic propulsion devices such as HVAR rocket motors and small explosive initiators under guidance from senior staff.
→Collaborate with engineers on building, modifying, and preparing test fixtures and test articles based on program requirements.
→Perform data analysis on sled performance and complete predictive propulsion and braking calculations.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
