Driver Manager - Grays, Essex 4 on 4 off days/nights Shift Pattern

Greenergy is a major UK fuel supplier and a leading European manufacturer of waste-based renewables. To deliver fuel to our customers, we have a 24/7 in-house haulage operation made up of over 650 drivers and a fleet of over 250 tankers. Greenergy Flexigrid operates out of over 20 depots nationwide, making over 182,000 deliveries to 3,100 customers each year. 

We are currently recruiting a Driver Manager to work out of our Thames depot. You will be working rotating days/nights on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.

 The primary purpose of the role is management of resource including drivers and vehicles to ensure service is delivered in line with customer requirements and contractual obligations.
 To ensure that the regional operations are managed in line with appropriate and required legislation or Greenergy standards and KPI’s. 
To work with the Depot Managers to ensure that the region achieves objectives/ KPI’s in relation to O License Undertakings, operational compliance, SHEQ, financial, customer service and HR tasks and responsibilities. 
Managing the team of drivers across the depots under control of the role is key, in order to deliver excellent and safe service to our clients and supporting a positive employee culture aligned to Greenergy’s values of Respect, Ownership, Care and Integrity.
Building a strong and collaborative relationship with the central planning/scheduling function in Tamworth is critical – demonstrating a proactive approach to dealing with local issues to support the operational delivery of the business, supporting customer service and safety in the process.
