Lead - Management Accounting

Job Purpose

• Act as a partner to the Site Finance, providing timely and accurate reporting for Month End Close activities, as well as outside MEC processes.

• Support site Product Costing and Annual Standard Setting activities, control and audit requirements, i.e. internal and external audit, ICFW and other controls

• Participate in and support global projects for process improvements, standardization, or new process implementations.

• ·Drive for excellence in GSK processes and contributing widely to a high-performance culture within the team.

Responsibilities:

• Primarily responsible for delivery of assigned GSC processes according to agreed GSK operating model and/or Service Level Agreements whilst ensuring full compliance with GSK and external accounting policies.
• Operate according to governance frameworks, policies and internal controls, prepare reconciliations for Balance Sheet accounts in scope as well as other relevant internal controls.
• Align and partner with Site Finance to review results against plan, analyze trends, spot anomalies or errors and identify improvement opportunities.
• Build strong working relationships with stakeholders, manage stakeholder expectations, and needs, communicate effectively in all interactions through various means.
• Manage own time appropriately to ensure assigned processes are performed and delivered in line with agreed timelines, and according to standard work approach.
• Seek development and improvement, to deliver a level of expertise in assigned process to the benefit of GSK group and site customers.
• Actively support continuous improvement within the scope and across GSK, striving for standardization and improved performance to support delivery of wider organizational objectives.
• Support Annual Standard Setting and Product Costing processes.
• Support additional processes across GSC scope as required.
  
  

• 6 to 8 years of post-qualification experience in accounting related fields
• Knowledge of management accounting and reporting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Master’s Degree in Finance or CIMA/ ACCA/ or relevant qualification
• Fluent English
• Able to effectively manage time against agreed deadlines for activities.
• Expert level Excel skills, preferably with experience of AO and other automation
• Strong working knowledge of multiple systems/tools e.g. SAP, Power BI, SAC
• Data Analytics tools knowledge preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communicator, confident in interacting with all levels of individuals across a variety of internal functions (finance and non-finance) and customer groups, in a multinational environment.
• Flexibility and ‘can do’ attitude, drive to ensure that task is achieved.
• Team working skills are paramount in enabling the jobholder to function effectively, to provide and receive support within small team of colleagues.
• Ability to handle multiple issues simultaneously and put plans in place to balance /prioritize conflicting demand

• Experience in working with SAC (SAP Analytics Cloud)
• Production accounting, cost accounting experience
• Experience in transition of processes
• Experience in standardization and process improvement, digitalization of processes
