- Develop and refine detailed Controls design, including hardware and software specifications, for Distribution transformers.
- Create and maintain comprehensive electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, software developers, and project managers to integrate control systems seamlessly.
- Develop and support functional testing plans for new control cabinets, including on-site startup, calibration, and performance tuning.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing control panels, identifying root causes of issues and implementing effective solutions.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices in controls engineering, proposing and implementing innovative solutions.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, including functional specifications, test plans and work instructions.
- Participate in design reviews and provide expert feedback to ensure designs meet project requirements, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
- B.E / B. Tech Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a closely related field.
- 2 to 8 Years working in controls & panel design, programming, and implementation in an industrial environment. Candidates with higher experience also to be considered.
- Experience with electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).
- Solid knowledge of Electrical schematics; PID control, and motor control principles.
- Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- Basic knowledge of IEEE, UL508 and NFPA70 standards.
- Basic understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus TCP/IP).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to travel to other Hitachi factories when required.
