Mechanical Design Engineer

·        The success candidate will be the part of an International Design and Engineering Team specialized in Oil Distribution Transformer up to 25 MVA 36 kV Class design covering different countries.

·        Responsible to generate active part and windings/ Tank & Externals meeting factory limitation, guideline, and checklist as per IEEE / IEC /IS standards.

·        Responsible for Preparation of Customer documents, Manufacturing drawings, Bill of materials etc & submission to customer as per project schedule.

·        Understanding of Transformer mechanical design, Thermal, Dielectrics, Short circuit and sound performance and transformer mechanics

·        Coordinating design activities within a worldwide factories network.

·        Participation in internal design concept reviews.

·        Demonstrated team building skills and networking skills, would be a preference.

·        Ability to speak with and work together with the technical teams in different parts of the world.

Your background

·        B.E / B. Tech Mechanical Engineering.

·        2 to 8 Years working in Mechanical design for Distribution oil filled, Transformers manufacturing Industry. Candidates with higher experience also to be considered.

·        Knowledge on CAD software, any 3D Modelling software is a must. Creo is considered as an advantage.

·        Should understand Transformer Design, Mechanical Calculations, Dielectrics, clearance/creepage, basic layout and cleats lead arrangement.

·        Should have good understanding of IS/ IEC /IEEE Standards & Canadian Standards

·        Experience in winding design / Tank & externals is an advantage

·        Experience in Simulation or software development would be advantageous.

·        Experience on Microsoft office and tools.

·        Ability to speak with and work together with the technical teams in different parts of the world.

·        Demonstrated team building skills, would be a preference.

·        Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
