DevOps Engineer

HPE is seeking a DevOps Engineer to work in our Bangalore office. This person will be responsible for designing, developing, troubleshooting and debugging software programs to support a mature CI/CD pipeline.  

This person contributions include applying intermediate level of subject matter expertise to solve common technical problems. Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and recommendations for appropriate action. Works independently within an established framework and with moderate supervision. 

Location:   Must reside and work a hybrid schedule out of our office 

 What you’ll do:

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines. 

• Build tools to reduce occurrence of errors and improve user experience. 

• Develop and maintain integrations with internal back-end systems. 

• Perform root cause analysis of production errors and resolve technical issues. 

• Develop observability tools for the end-to-end lifecycle of the pipeline. 

• Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance. 

• Maintain common developer resources, including ensuring that relevant security updates are continuously applied. 

Required skills:  

• Proficiency with Git and GitLab/GitHub workflows. 

• Good knowledge of Java, Groovy or Python. 

• Good knowledge of Docker and container workflows. 

• Working knowledge of Jenkins or similar CI/CD platforms. 

• Working knowledge of AI prompt engineering. 

• Problem-solving attitude. 

• Collaborative team spirit. 

• Fluent in English. 

 Education and Experience Required:  

• University or Bachelor's degree; Advanced University or MBA preferred. 

• Related previous work experience. 

• 2-4 years’ experience

Preferred skills:  

• Experience as a DevOps engineer or in a similar software engineering role is a merit. 

• Experience with one or more cloud platforms, e.g. AWS, GCP or Azure. 

• Experience in an operational environment (on-call support).
