Innophos is looking for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to help optimize equipment and reduce downtime across our production units. This role involves coordinating and motivating maintenance teams, applying strong maintenance practices, and driving process improvements.

The incumbent will help ensure production equipment and facilities remain available around the clock, while keeping safety and efficiency top priorities. Success in this role means finding the right balance between contractors and internal staff, all while staying within the department's budget.

Maintenance

  • Develop and implement equipment reliability initiatives
  • Support production teams in optimizing plant productivity and quality
  • Serve as a technical resource for production personnel
  • Provide technical leadership on long-term solutions to recurring problems
  • Troubleshoot and solve problems as needed
  • Review and improve predictive and preventive maintenance programs
  • Participate in plant operation and improvement meetings, and share outcomes with maintenance staff
  • Partner with production departments to resolve issues affecting plant operability
  • Help manage and administer the plant control network
  • Projects

    • Lead improvement projects — scoping, cost estimation, capital requests, fieldwork supervision, and commissioning
    • Investigate recurring equipment failures to identify root causes and long-term fixes
    • Oversee outside contractors as needed
    • General

      • Collaborate with plant teams to meet overall plant objectives
      • Take on other tasks as assigned
      • Communicate with area coordinators as needed
      • Step in as designee for the E/I Coordinator role when needed
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology preferred)
  • 3+ years of industrial experience in electrical and control systems
  • Working knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills (verbal and written), with solid organizational ability
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues and support maintenance teams, with demonstrated potential to grow into a leadership role
  • Solid understanding of good engineering and safety practices
  • Ability to estimate, plan, schedule, and complete work orders on time, including managing budgets and estimating project costs
  • Frequently: climbing ladders/stairs, standing, bending, exposure to temperature changes, plant visits
  • Occasionally: lifting (avg. 20 lbs, up to 70 lbs), squatting, office work
  • Rarely: operating mobile equipment (Cushman/pickup truck)
