Position Overview:

Support kitchen and service staff. We work together as a team to help deliver events, large and small, for members of the community and guests from across the globe.  Looking for individuals that value working in a team environment.

Job Title: Dishwasher

Job Type: Part Time

Work Schedule: 4, 6 or 8 hour shifts - 20 to 30 hours per week

Pay : $21.07/hr.

Additional Pay: Delivery Team Variable Pay Eligible

Work Location: On-site/Bainbridge Island Campus

Paid Time off annual benefit:

IslandWood offers 3 weeks paid vacation, floating holidays, 10 annual paid holidays and 80 hours of paid annual sick leave. (Time-off prorated during first year based on start date).

Primary Responsibilities:

• Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glassware, tableware, Wash pots, pans, and trays by hand.
• Bus tables and help to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and order in the kitchen and storeroom.
• Clean large and small kitchen equipment including major and small appliances.
• Report damage or problems promptly to Supervisor on duty.

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to work varied hours, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to obtain a proper permit to serve food and beverages (Food Handlers Permit)
• Commitment to support IslandWood’ s work towards equity, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace.
• Must be able to comply with and maintain a smoke-free and drug-free work environment.
• Must pass child safety screening procedure, post-offer.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended time (duration of shift)
• Frequent kneeling/stooping and full range of motion with hands and arms
