Brazer, 3rd Shift

• →Obtains appropriate paperwork or drawings for each coil/header.
• →Positions header parts in jigs or fixtures on table & clamps parts together.
• →Selects torch, torch tip, filler rod and flux, according to material being brazed.
• →Connects regulator valves and hoses to oxygen and fuel gas cylinders, and brazing torch.
• →Turns regulator valves to activate flow of gases, lights torch and adjusts gas mixture and pressure, to obtain desired flame.
• →Holds torch at proper angle to metal and guides along braze joint, applying filler rod to molten area to form weld.
• →Examines braze joint for leaks.
• →Locates and repairs leaks in header or coil assembly.
• →Applies, and fills out if necessary, all required coil/header labels.
• →Builds tall coils (i.e. assembles coil halves together).
• →Signs off shop floor paperwork signifying completion of job.
• →Trains new or existing employees if necessary.
• →Wears all required personal protective equipment.
• →Cleans work area at end of shift.

• →Responsible for reporting work related injuries and near misses to supervision.

• →Responsible for wearing all required PPE and following applicable safety/environmental rules.
• →Responsible for correcting or reporting unsafe conditions observed within the plant.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE:$24.97 - $29.52 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
