As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will help build, operate, and modernize a hybrid infrastructure environment spanning on-premises data centers and multiple public cloud platforms. You will play a key role in making infrastructure automation the standard approach to provisioning, deployment, and operations. Working alongside infrastructure, DevOps, site reliability, security, and product engineering teams, you will develop scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions. Your work will help reduce manual processes, accelerate delivery, improve platform reliability, and strengthen operational efficiency. You will contribute to Infrastructure as Code, container orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and AI-driven operational improvements. This fully remote opportunity offers an environment where technical innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement are central to delivering reliable infrastructure services.
Contribute to the development and operation of a consistent hybrid infrastructure platform spanning on-premises virtualization technologies, including VMware vSphere, Nutanix, and Proxmox, as well as public cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Support enterprise storage, networking, identity, and connectivity services, including iSCSI, Fibre Channel, NFS/SMB, object storage, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and cloud connectivity solutions.
Develop, maintain, and improve Infrastructure as Code and configuration management solutions using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, and related automation technologies.
Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, patching, upgrades, lifecycle management, and decommissioning through version-controlled, repeatable workflows.
Support virtualization, cloud, and container platform management, ensuring consistent, secure, and recoverable control planes across the hybrid environment.
Operate and improve container platforms, including Kubernetes, OpenShift, EKS, and AKS, using standardized Helm charts and GitOps deployment practices with tools such as Argo CD and Flux.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools to enable reliable, secure, and repeatable software delivery.
Identify opportunities to replace manual, ticket-driven processes with automated workflows, self-service infrastructure provisioning, and reusable service catalogue items.
Integrate automation with IT service management platforms, particularly ServiceNow, to streamline provisioning, change management, event-driven remediation, and operational support.
Implement observability and site reliability engineering practices using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, and OpenTelemetry, supporting service-level objectives, incident response, and blameless post-incident reviews.
Develop automated remediation workflows and operational runbooks that improve NOC and SRE efficiency, reduce incident resolution times, and prevent recurring issues.
Monitor infrastructure health and capacity, analyze operational trends, anticipate resource requirements, and address potential performance or availability issues proactively.
Explore AI-driven operational enhancements, including AIOps, anomaly detection, intelligent reporting, and AI-assisted automation, to improve reliability and operational insight.
Maintain accurate infrastructure inventories, configuration records, and dependency documentation through automated asset discovery tools such as ITGlue and consistent metadata and tagging standards.
Strengthen security and compliance through policy as code, secrets management with HashiCorp Vault, image scanning, and automated compliance checks.
Apply automation to existing and legacy infrastructure, progressively modernizing systems while maintaining operational continuity and minimizing disruption.
Support cloud and infrastructure cost optimization through resource right-sizing, scheduling, utilization monitoring, and automated decommissioning, contributing to FinOps initiatives.
Follow engineering standards, develop reusable automation modules, review third-party delivery partner work, and collaborate with distributed engineering teams.
Share technical knowledge, document solutions, and help strengthen automation capabilities across the broader infrastructure organization.
