As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in building scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure that supports enterprise applications and accelerates software delivery. You will lead the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and cloud optimization strategies across development, testing, and production environments. Leveraging AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and Infrastructure as Code technologies, you will streamline deployment processes and strengthen operational resilience. You will collaborate with development, quality assurance, and operations teams to improve system performance, security, and release efficiency. In this leadership role, you will establish DevOps best practices, mentor engineers, and drive continuous improvement across the technology ecosystem. This fully remote opportunity combines technical leadership, cloud innovation, and cross-functional collaboration in a dynamic, globally connected environment.
CI/CD Pipeline Development and Management: Design, implement, maintain, and optimize continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines for enterprise applications. Improve automation, deployment consistency, release speed, and software delivery reliability using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, and Azure DevOps.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and AWS CloudFormation. Develop reusable infrastructure components that improve scalability, consistency, and operational efficiency.
DevOps Strategy and Leadership: Define and lead DevOps practices across development, quality assurance, and production environments. Establish technical standards, deployment strategies, and operational guidelines aligned with business and engineering objectives.
Cloud Infrastructure Management: Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure and related services, ensuring high availability, scalability, security, and performance across cloud-based environments.
Containerization and Orchestration: Oversee containerized application deployments using Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or Docker Swarm. Improve application portability, resource utilization, and deployment reliability.
Monitoring and Performance Optimization: Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and observability solutions using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK Stack. Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot incidents, and implement improvements to maintain service availability.
Security and Compliance: Integrate security controls and governance requirements into automated workflows. Apply best practices for networking, firewalls, access management, and security protocols while supporting compliance with relevant organizational standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline deployment workflows, resolve infrastructure challenges, and improve coordination throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
Incident Management and Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve deployment failures, infrastructure issues, and production incidents across cloud and on-premises environments. Identify root causes and implement preventive measures to reduce recurring problems.
Continuous Improvement and Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve release management, infrastructure efficiency, automation coverage, and cloud spending. Evaluate emerging technologies and practices to strengthen system reliability and operational performance.
Team Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior engineers, share technical expertise, promote DevOps best practices, and encourage a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
