We are seeking an experienced project management leader to oversee the successful delivery of critical product portfolios and cross-functional initiatives in educational technology. In this remote role, you will drive execution strategy, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high quality standards. You will coordinate software engineering, curriculum development, content production, and manufacturing teams to align priorities and deliver cohesive learning experiences. You will also build scalable project management processes, optimize resources, manage risks, and introduce AI-powered efficiencies. Through strategic leadership and team development, you will strengthen delivery capabilities and help turn ambitious product strategies into measurable outcomes.

  • Design and implement effective delivery frameworks, including operating rhythms, project management standards, tools, and communication practices that improve team productivity and execution.

  • Oversee project schedules, milestones, dependencies, resource plans, and delivery outcomes across critical product portfolios and enterprise initiatives.

  • Communicate project status, risks, progress, and recovery plans clearly to team members, stakeholders, and executive leadership.

  • Coordinate curriculum development and software engineering teams to ensure digital features align with content requirements and that instructional materials take full advantage of platform capabilities.

  • Lead resource allocation and capacity planning, identifying potential burnout, under-utilization, and staffing constraints before they threaten delivery.

  • Act as the escalation point for major blockers, resolving timeline conflicts, coordinating corrective actions, and presenting data-driven trade-offs to decision-makers.

  • Monitor project budgets and spending, supporting annual budget planning, financial reforecasts, and long-term strategic planning.

  • Optimize print-to-digital production workflows in partnership with supply chain and production teams, ensuring manufacturing handoffs are accurate, efficient, and preserve instructional intent.

  • Evaluate, select, and manage strategic vendors, including contract negotiations, performance monitoring, and recommendations concerning renewals or changes in partnerships.

  • Identify and implement AI-powered tools that streamline project workflows, reduce administrative effort, and improve development efficiency.

  • Directly manage and mentor project managers, supporting their professional growth through coaching, feedback, hiring, and development.

  • Contribute to organization-wide project management standards, templates, tooling decisions, and working practices while collaborating with peers on complex delivery challenges.

  • Promote a culture of accountability, quality, candid communication, efficient collaboration, and proactive risk management.

  • Demonstrated experience managing and developing a team of at least 3–5 direct reports, including hiring, training, coaching, and retaining high-performing professionals.

  • Strong command of Agile/Scrum methodologies for software development and Waterfall approaches for physical production, with the ability to coordinate both within a unified delivery framework.

  • Proven expertise in project planning, portfolio execution, dependency management, resource allocation, risk mitigation, and budget oversight.

  • Experience using and configuring advanced project management tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, and Notion.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with software engineers, designers, curriculum writers, content specialists, supply chain teams, production partners, and senior leaders.

  • Strong strategic communication skills, including the ability to translate detailed project risks and operational information into clear, actionable reports for leadership.

  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills, with the confidence to address unrealistic roadmaps, negotiate priorities, and propose practical, data-informed alternatives.

  • A commitment to quality, accuracy, and strong user experiences, alongside the ability to balance speed and operational discipline.

  • A process-improvement mindset, with a preference for streamlined meetings, asynchronous communication, and efficient ways of working.
