Take a leading technical role in delivering reliable, secure, and high-performing IT infrastructure for professional services organizations. As a Senior IT Project Engineer, you will design, implement, and optimize complex technology solutions across networking, cloud platforms, virtualization, and Microsoft environments. You will collaborate with project managers, solutions architects, and service delivery professionals to address client needs, manage infrastructure upgrades, and deliver successful technical projects. Beyond hands-on engineering, you will mentor junior team members, guide technical decisions, and help strengthen service delivery standards. This fully remote opportunity is suited to an experienced IT professional who can independently resolve complex challenges while maintaining exceptional client relationships. Occasional travel and participation in an on-call rotation are also required.

You will provide senior-level technical expertise across client projects and managed IT environments, ensuring infrastructure solutions meet business, security, and operational requirements. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Serve as a technical leader within the service delivery department, guiding the design and implementation of solutions for client and internal engagements.

  • Mentor, train, and support junior service delivery professionals, sharing technical expertise and promoting best practices.

  • Identify, propose, design, and deliver infrastructure upgrades and projects that improve client productivity, security, and system stability.

  • Conduct network discovery activities and support onboarding for new managed services clients.

  • Configure, implement, and maintain physical and virtual infrastructure, networking components, and Microsoft technologies.

  • Assess client technical requirements, regulatory considerations, and associated risks to recommend appropriate and compliant solutions.

  • Collaborate with project managers, solutions architects, and other engineering professionals to deliver complex technology initiatives.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve advanced client technical issues independently, minimizing unnecessary escalations.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client documentation as infrastructure environments and configurations evolve.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and provide timely technical expertise throughout project engagements.

  • Track project hours, scheduled versus actual time, billable utilization, and individual performance metrics.

  • Maintain an 85% billable utilization target and achieve a minimum 90% customer satisfaction score on delivered projects.

  • Document all work accurately within the ticketing system and follow established service delivery procedures.

  • Adhere to security protocols and contribute to continuous improvements in operational and technical standards.

  • Stay current with emerging technologies and pursue relevant professional certifications in alignment with technical objectives.

  • Participate in the technical on-call rotation and travel when required.
