Senior macOS Cyber Security Engineer – Endpoint Security (C++/Swift)
Quick Summary
6–10 years of professional software engineering experience, with more experienced candidates also welcome. Strong hands-on expertise in modern C++, particularly C++17 or C++20,
We are seeking an experienced macOS Cyber Security Engineer to develop and enhance advanced endpoint security solutions. In this role, you will contribute to the development of a high-performance security agent designed to detect, monitor, and prevent malicious activity across macOS devices. You will work extensively with modern C++, Swift, and Objective-C++ while leveraging macOS system-level frameworks and security APIs. The position combines low-level systems programming, cybersecurity engineering, performance optimization, and software reliability. You will collaborate with cross-platform engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, and efficient solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to work on mission-critical endpoint protection technology in a technically challenging environment.
-
Develop, enhance, and maintain macOS endpoint security components using modern C++, Swift, and Objective-C++.
-
Implement security capabilities that monitor file, process, network, and identity activities to detect and prevent malicious behavior.
-
Design and maintain solutions using macOS System Extensions, Endpoint Security APIs, Network Extensions, and interprocess communication mechanisms.
-
Build high-performance, concurrent, and reliable software while optimizing CPU utilization, memory consumption, and overall system performance.
-
Investigate and resolve complex technical issues through debugging, crash analysis, logging, profiling, and performance testing.
-
Develop automated tests and contribute to continuous integration pipelines to maintain software quality and reliability.
-
Collaborate with cross-platform engineering teams working on shared codebases supporting macOS, Windows, and Linux.
-
Ensure compatibility across Apple Silicon and Intel-based Mac systems.
-
Contribute to secure software architecture, code quality improvements, and production stability.
-
Support the development, testing, packaging, and deployment of security components across macOS environments.
