Primary Location: United States (US) - Iowa - Urbandale Function: Product Engineering (CA) Title: Embedded Software Engineer - 125785 Onsite/Remote:Onsite Position ## Your Responsibilities As an Embedded Software Engineer with John Deere ISG, you will: * Join the core team developing Deere’s first autonomous solutions. * You will create autonomy features for equipment from concept through production, solve complex software-system challenges, ensure quality, resolve defects, and continuously improve guidance and autonomy system software. VISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this position ## What Skills You Need • 2 or more years of software development experience • 2 or more years of electronic system design, development, and validation of embedded software • Knowledge of components used in embedded systems, including microcontrollers, operating systems, sensors, and actuators ## What Makes You Stand Out • Knowledge of production agricultural practices and machinery • Proficiency in C++ and familiarity with Qt and standard libraries • Advanced degree in computer science or electrical engineering • Experience with agricultural, construction, or similar off-highway vehicles • Experience with CAN and Ethernet networks • Experience using MATLAB and Simulink --- ## Education Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following: * Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural, Electrical, Computer, Software Engineering discipline or equivalent experience What You'll Get At John Deere, you are empowered to create a career that will take you to where you want to go while working in an inclusive team environment.
